NOT WORTH YOUR TIME
It’s hard to imagine how a movie featuring luscious nekkid Chinese woman, simulated sex, and supernatural beings could be so boring you want to rip out your eyes to stop the pain, but Erotic Ghost Story II manages that feat.
In fact, I couldn’t bear to keep watching it past the half hour mark.
Why is Erotic Ghost Story II so hard to take? Well, it could be the witlessness of the script by Sze-To On, Peter Ngor, Casey Chan, Abe Kwong, Lam Dai-Hoh, and Amy Choi. (What? It took six writers to tap out this stinker?) It could be the 1001 string inspired muzak by BMG Melody Bank, whoever or whatever the hell that is. It could be that almost nothing happens over an agonizing 30 minutes. It could be that the softcore sex scenes go on for a mindnumbing length.
Erotic Ghost Story II is so dull that washing dishes is an orgy of excitement by comparison.
Best watched with the sound off and a remote control firmly in hand.
